A modern bladesmith rooted in the old traditions

Celtic Flare Knife

The steel billet was made of 1050, 1095 and 15N20 steels. It was folded to about 300 layers and then manipulated to create a wood grain pattern. The blade is 5 inches in length and the handle is 4 and 1/2. Wrought iron guard with patina. Stabilized bloodwood handle. Hidden pins construction for the handle to maintain good structural integrity and not detracting from the view of the grain of the wood in all its beauty.
