Naginatanaoshi-style wakizashi made of tamahagane steel. Nagasa 16 inches. Overall length 23 inches. The saya was made by relief carving stylized clouds with the kanji HYAKUREN KOUMA. The background of the saya has been “aged” to look rustic and resemble wood grain. The fittings are made of copper that has been worked with tagane chisels and punches driven by a hammer then patinated with rokusho. The tsuka shows a traditional wrap with stingray skin and brown tsuka-ito.
